the soil
The three vineyards
The La Guardiola vineyards are located in the heart of the Valdichiana Aretina, among rolling hills exposed to the sun and ventilated by constant breezes that caress the rows. Over seven hectares, we cultivate with dedication prized varieties such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Syrah, each in perfect harmony with the microclimate and soil.
The medium-textured, sandy soils preserve the mineral memory of an ancient land and give the wines structure, elegance, and aromatic depth. Our viticulture is the result of a conscious choice: we practice organic methods, without the use of herbicides or synthetic products, instead favoring the natural vitality of the soil.
Agroecology, for the environment
Each season, we cultivate the vineyard with respectful practices such as green manure, which enriches the soil with nutrients, and the use of mycorrhizae, symbiotic fungi that improve root health and ecosystem biodiversity. Manual pruning and selective harvesting allow us to maintain a limited but high-quality production, where each bunch of grapes speaks to the essence of our work and the surrounding landscape.
In our vineyards, there is more than just the pursuit of the perfect wine, but also the desire to preserve a balance: that between man and nature, between past and future, between the strength of the earth and the lightness of the wind that blows across the hills.
the Cellar
Where time becomes wine
Simple in form and silent in rhythm, our cellar is where the energy of the vineyard is transformed into living matter. Here, tradition and precision coexist: every choice, from controlled fermentation to slow ripening, is designed to preserve the purity of the fruit and the personality of each varietal. Steel preserves freshness, wood amplifies its depth. Nothing is left to chance: our daily work is a continuous dialogue between nature and technique, between anticipation and intuition.
